Terms & Conditions of Sale
Last updated: 6 November 2026
These terms apply when you buy products from www.truefittandhill.co.uk. Please read them before you order. They do not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
1. About us
This website is run by Truefitt & Hill (Gentlemen’s Grooming) Limited (“T&H”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 02817993. Our registered office is 71 St James’s Street, London, SW1A 1PH, United Kingdom. Our VAT number is GB 626 9998 69.
You can contact us by email at info@truefittandhill.co.uk, by phone on +44 (0)20 3657 6716, or by post at the address above. If we need to contact you, we will use the email address, phone number or postal address you gave us with your order.
2. Who these terms are for
These terms are for consumers buying for personal use. You must be at least 18 to place an order. If you are buying for a business, please contact us first, as different terms may apply.
3. Your order and our contract
When you place an order, we will email you to acknowledge it. This does not mean we have accepted your order. Our contract with you is formed when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched.
We may not accept your order if, for example, a product is out of stock, we cannot deliver to your address, there is an error in the price or description, or we suspect fraud. If we do not accept your order, we will tell you and will not charge you. If we have already taken payment, we will refund you in full.
Please check your order carefully before you submit it. If you need to change your order, contact us as soon as possible and we will try to help.
4. Prices and payment
Prices on our website are in pounds sterling and include VAT at the current UK rate. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay.
We take care to show the correct price. If we find an obvious pricing error after you order, we will contact you before accepting your order. You can then choose to buy at the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund.
You can pay using the methods shown at checkout, including major debit and credit cards and, where offered, Klarna. Payment is taken when you place your order. Klarna payments are also subject to Klarna’s own terms.
5. Delivery
Delivery options, costs and timings are set out on our Delivery & Returns page and at checkout. Unless we agree otherwise, we will deliver within 30 days of accepting your order.
If we are delayed by events outside our control, we will let you know and do what we can to reduce the delay. If the delay is likely to be significant, you can cancel your order and we will refund anything you have paid for products you have not received.
The products are your responsibility from the time they are delivered to you or to someone you have named to receive them. You own the products once we have received payment in full.
Please make sure your delivery address is correct and complete. We cannot deliver to P.O. Box addresses.
6. International orders
Orders delivered outside the UK may be subject to import duties, taxes and customs charges. These are payable by the recipient and are not included in our prices. Some products, such as alcohol-based fragrances, cannot be sent to certain countries, and we do not deliver to every country. Our Delivery & Returns page explains which countries we deliver to and any restrictions.
7. Your right to change your mind (14-day cancellation)
You have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you, or someone you name, receive the products. If your order arrives in separate deliveries, it ends 14 days after you receive the last one.
To cancel, tell us clearly by emailing info@truefittandhill.co.uk or writing to us at our registered office. You can use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms, but you do not have to.
You must then send the products back to us within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel. Please send them to: Truefitt & Hill (Gentlemen’s Grooming) Ltd, Unit 1, Jaycee House, 214 Purley Way, Croydon, CR0 4XG. Unless the product is faulty or not as described, you pay the cost of returning it. Please keep proof of postage.
We will refund the price you paid, including the cost of standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the products back or of receiving proof that you have returned them, whichever is earlier. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we will only refund the cost of our standard delivery. We will refund you using the same payment method you used.
We may reduce your refund if the value of a product has gone down because you handled it more than was needed to check it, as you would in a shop.
Exceptions. For health and hygiene reasons, the right to cancel does not apply to sealed toiletries and cosmetics (such as colognes, shaving creams, skincare and hair care products) once you have unsealed them after delivery. It also does not apply to products made to your specifications or clearly personalised. This does not affect your rights if a product is faulty.
8. Faulty or incorrect products
We must provide products that are as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If a product is faulty, damaged or not as described, your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 include:
- up to 30 days from delivery: you can reject the product and get a full refund;
- within six months of delivery: if we cannot repair or replace the product, you are entitled to a full refund in most cases;
- up to six years from delivery: if the product does not last a reasonable length of time, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement or some money back.
Please contact us as soon as you notice a problem. We will pay the reasonable cost of returning faulty or incorrect products. For more information about your rights, visit Citizens Advice.
9. Barbershop appointments
Appointments at our barbershop at 71 St James’s Street are booked through Booksy. Any terms for your appointment, including cancellation and late arrival, will be shown when you book and in your booking confirmation.
10. Offers, promotions and gift vouchers
Promotions, discount codes and gift offers may have their own terms, which we will show alongside the offer. Where they differ from these terms, the offer terms apply to that offer only. They do not reduce your legal rights.
11. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen, or if we both knew it might happen when the contract was made.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products.
We only supply products for personal and private use. We are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
12. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible and take steps to reduce the effect. If there is a risk of substantial delay, you can contact us to cancel and receive a refund for products you have paid for but not received.
13. Using our website
The content of this website, including text, images, logos and designs, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for your own personal use, but you may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission. You must not misuse the website, for example by introducing viruses or trying to gain unauthorised access.
If you submit a review or other content, it must be honest, reflect your genuine experience and not be offensive or unlawful. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
We use your personal data as described in our Privacy & Cookie Policy.
14. Complaints and disputes
If you have a problem, please contact us first at info@truefittandhill.co.uk. We will try to resolve it quickly.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
15. Other terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on our website when you placed it. If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest will still apply. Even if we delay in enforcing any of these terms, we can still enforce them later.
